We sanded cleaned and converted existing polyurethane finishes to conversion varnish and repainted everything a fresh pure clean white.
These are the before photos of a builder-grade cabinets set that we are going to prime & paint in conversion varnish, (Sherwin Williams 7005) SW-Pure White, which is an off-white, very popular with cabinet refinishers abroad.
Conversion varnish is a non-yellowing enamel, that is durable and easy to clean.
We use a specialized primer called Generation 2 waterborne to seal all surfaces and level out any issues in preparation for the 2 enamel top coats.
Cabinet painting in Nocatee started with dismantling everything, and building a booth in the garage. Then sanding and cleaning all parts to seal. Then after overnight dry time we will sand them again and a throough cleaning before applying 2 additional coats. Sanding/cleaning in between coats. Then re-assemble carefully and reset all doors and drawers. Then we position and align everything. All materials from Sherwin commercial coatings division.
Completed cabinet refinish in Crescent Beach using pre-catalyzed lacquer for a super durable, non-yellowing cabinet finish. We also refinished pantry doors, casings and base. Cabinet refinish project took 6 days total.
